University Housing Portal
Created in 2012 in Drupal 7, the University Housing Portal (UPHOUSING) was born to connect students and teachers to verified accommodation securely.
More than a decade later, the portal has been completely renovated in Drupal 10, reinforcing accessibility, usability and security. The new version introduces automatic SIBS payments and simpler editorial management, while remaining a national reference in the academic sector.
The solution is available at https://fctunl.portalalojamentouniversitario.pt and can be adopted by other educational institutions or partner entities.
With the growth of academic mobility, it was essential to have a stable, scalable and accessible platform that would guarantee:
- Official channel between tenants and the academic community;
- Secure management of advertisements and payments;

The evolution required modernizing the design, integrating payments and optimizing navigation for multiple devices.
JAVALI ensured the entire life cycle of the portal - from the initial version in Drupal 7 to the current one in Drupal 10 - applying a flexible, user-centered architecture. The main features are:
