The OMI Group - Iberian Electricity Market Operator is responsible for managing the electricity markets in Portugal and Spain, promoting transparency, integration and stability in the Iberian energy system.

Its structure includes several entities with complementary functions: OMI-Portuguese Stock Exchange (OMIP) and OMI-Spanish Stock Exchange (OMIE), responsible for managing the market, and OMIClear, dedicated to clearing and settling energy transactions.

With operations spanning the entire Iberian Peninsula and participation in European integration processes, the OMI Group's mission is to guarantee the efficiency and transparency of the energy markets, providing reliable, up-to-date and accessible information to all agents in the sector.

The main challenge was to modernize and unify the digital communication of the group's various entities, guaranteeing a solution that:

  • Allowed centralized management of multiple sites in a multisite Drupal model;
  • Support multiple languages, reinforcing the group's international presence;
  • Integrate dynamic market data with real-time updates;
  • Offer an optimized, intuitive and accessible browsing experience;
  • Reinforce the corporate visual identity and coherence between the group's brands.

JAVALI has developed a multisite and multilingual platform in Drupal, with the capacity to host and manage several websites within the same ecosystem, while maintaining the identity and autonomy of each entity in the group.

The solution's main features:

  • Drupal multisite architecture, allowing unified management and shared content;
  • Integration with energy databases, with real-time data visualization;
  • Multilingual structure (PT/ES/EN), with centralized and flexible management;
  • Responsive and accessible design, optimized for different devices;
  • Unified backoffice, simplifying editorial management between teams.

The OMI Group's new digital ecosystem, developed in Drupal, represents a decisive step towards modernizing and integrating the communications of the companies that make up the Iberian Electricity Market Operator.

The redesign of the websites has provided a more intuitive and accessible browsing experience, allowing all users to access corporate, institutional and operational content in a quick and organized way.

The main results achieved include:

  • Centralization of information from the group's various entities (OMEL, OMIP SGPS, OMIE, OMIP SGMR and OMIClear) in a coherent digital ecosystem;
  • Improved digital accessibility, ensuring compliance with WCAG standards and the inclusion of all users;
  • OMI Group portal with a clear presentation of the group's mission, vision, values and policies, reinforcing its institutional identity;
  • OMIE with new features allowing simple and immediate access to spot market data, with real-time updates;
  • OMIP and OMIClear with a renewed design and reorganized structure, facilitating access to information on the forward market and clearing services;
  • Total integration of content and data in a multisite, multilingual Drupal system, ensuring visual consistency and high technical performance.

Together, these platforms strengthen the transparency and reliability of the Iberian electricity markets, guaranteeing institutional coherence and more robust, accessible and sustainable digital communication.
