"The DGRDN is grateful for the commitment and professionalism shown by the JAVALI team, which has always sought to use its technical knowledge to meet the wishes of this directorate-general in the development of the Military Recruitment Portal. The Portal required the implementation of many "custom-made" solutions that would allow the project to be scaled up in the future, and JAVALI was always available to advise on the best solutions. We highlight JAVALI's permanent willingness to make changes during the project, and the fact that they provide basic training on how to manage your back-office. Above all, it's a team that's very easy to work with, which allows us to streamline processes a lot."

The Ministry of National Defense (MDN) is the government department responsible for conducting and evaluating Portugal's defense policy.
Through the Directorate-General for National Defence Resources (DGRDN), the MDN has been promoting measures to modernize and bring the Armed Forces and the public closer together, strengthening the attractiveness of military careers.
As part of an action plan to professionalize and simplify the recruitment process, the government, in collaboration with the Armed Forces, decided to develop a new digital Military Recruitment portal.
The aim of this project was to create a single communication and application management tool, accessible to all citizens, centralizing dispersed information and reinforcing the transparency of selection processes.
The government, in conjunction with the Armed Forces, has launched an action plan for the professionalization of military recruitment, as part of a SIMPLEX measure, with the aim of modernizing and centralizing all communication associated with military careers.
Until then, information on recruitment was scattered and decentralized between the different branches - Navy, Army and Air Force - making it difficult for citizens to consult it and for internal processes to be efficient.
The Directorate-General for National Defense Resources (DGRDN) proposed to JAVALI the development of a unified Military Recruitment portal, which would concentrate information, simplify access to opportunities and promote clearer and more accessible communication with candidates.
Among the main challenges identified were:
The ultimate goal was to design a functional, accessible and transparent portal that would bring the Armed Forces closer to citizens and contribute to the modernization of public administration, in the spirit of the SIMPLEX programme.
JAVALI, in close collaboration with the DGRDN, developed the new Military Recruitment portal using Drupal technology, adopting a modular and scalable approach.
The main features implemented include:
The new Military Recruitment Portal has become an essential communication and management tool for the Ministry of National Defense and the Armed Forces.
The main results achieved include:
The Military Recruitment project reinforced JAVALI's experience in creating accessible, user-centered public portals, with full compliance with WCAG and RNID standards.
The good practices applied in this project were documented and shared internally, contributing to the development of reusable methodologies in Drupal solutions aimed at Public Administration and digital accessibility.
