The Manuel Champalimaud Group is a leading Portuguese family group with diversified activities in the areas of industry, energy, investment and business management.
In 2015, JAVALI developed the Group's first website in Drupal 7, marking the beginning of its structured digital presence. This solution consolidated the institutional identity and ensured effective communication with partners and stakeholders.
With technological advances and the end of Drupal 7's life cycle, a new challenge arose: to upgrade to Drupal 10, taking advantage of the migration process to redesign the entire digital experience, modernize the design and strengthen the Group's international presence.
The transition to Drupal 10 was not limited to a simple technical upgrade - it involved the creation of a new platform, completely redesigned and adapted to current standards of communication and usability.
The main objectives included:
JAVALI developed the Manuel Champalimaud Group's new portal in Drupal 10, based on a modern, scalable and future-proof architecture.
The solution's main highlights:
The new portal, launched in 2024, represents a total evolution of the Group's digital presence:
This project reinforced JAVALI's experience in complex migrations from Drupal 7 to Drupal 10, a process which, due to its scale, represents the creation of a new digital platform.
The good practices developed - from the controlled migration of content to the restructuring of layouts and integrations - were documented and shared internally, contributing to the collective know-how of the Drupal community and to future digital modernization projects.
