"APDPO PORTUGAL - Associação dos Profissionais de Proteção e de Segurança de Dados (Association of Data Protection and Security Professionals) decided to invest in the development of a new website, not only for reasons of modernizing the design, but above all for reasons of security, accessibility and usability, which is understandable given the goals it pursues and the class of professionals it brings together.
At the suggestion of an Associate, JAVALI became a strategic partner for the development of the portal from the outset, and surprised us with a team that was attentive, interested, approachable, full of ideas and good suggestions. They understood the line of continuity we wanted to take, but managed to innovate within it. He analyzed the issue of security, which is so important to us, and took care of all the legal requirements. He got to know our structure, dynamics and activities and mirrored them in the portal. And after so many meetings, tests and conversations, the new APDPO website was born, modern, simple and easy and intuitive to use.

APDPO PORTUGAL, the Association of Data Protection Professionals, including Data Protection Officers (DPOs), was set up with the aim of providing dialogue and exchanging experiences. APDPO organizes training courses, promotes forums and fosters synergies with public and private sector entities in order to improve the quality of the professionals it brings together.
In view of its mission and for the benefit of the community of professionals it represents, APDPO PORTUGAL felt the need to have a new image and a new website that reflected its identity and the resources it provides in an organized and intuitive way for its members.
JAVALI developed the new APDPO portal in Drupal 10, betting on a modern, secure solution that is totally adapted to the association's needs.
The main elements of the solution include:
- User-friendly design, in line with APDPO's identity;
- Information structure organized by training areas, events and resources;
- Implementation of digital accessibility in accordance with WCAG standards;
- Responsive and mobile-first architecture, ensuring smooth navigation on all devices;
- Adoption of good SEO practices to increase the association's online visibility.
APDPO's new website represents a qualitative leap forward in the way the association communicates with its members and the general public.

The know-how from this project strengthens JAVALI's ability to share reusable solutions in future projects for associations and public bodies, contributing to the Drupal community with guidelines applicable in accessibility and usability contexts.
