Strengthening Digital Presence with Drupal 10
"It was a great privilege for Ca.DA - Companhia de Dança de Almada to have JAVALI as a partner in the creation of the website dedicated to the area of dance training.
From the very first moment of designing the Almada Dance Conservatory website, we felt the value of a creative, experienced and dedicated team, which were key factors in the final result. The flexibility of the solutions presented for the specificities of teaching and the accessibility of the system were assets that greatly facilitated and will facilitate the management of dynamic content, which is always being updated.
The digital presence of Ca.DA and the Conservatoire brand in particular has thus been excellently strengthened, the result of a partnership for which we are very grateful."

The digital presence of Ca.DA and the Conservatoire brand in particular has thus been excellently strengthened, the result of a partnership for which we are very grateful."
JAVALI developed the new website for the Almada Dance Conservatory, a brand of the Almada Dance Company, using the latest stable version of Drupal, with the aim of strengthening the institution's digital presence and improving the way it communicates its training offer, activities and institutional information.
The project was developed as part of a partnership between JAVALI and Companhia de Dança de Almada, creating a more solid digital base to support the institution's communication and its relationship with students, families and other audiences.
The Almada Dance Conservatory needed a website capable of more clearly representing the diversity of its activities and teaching offer.
The challenge was to structure the information in a way that was accessible to different audiences, to facilitate access to relevant content and to ensure simple day-to-day management by the internal team.
The main needs included:
- Clearly present the different types of courses;
- Disseminate activities, presentations and news with a consistent editorial structure;
- Provide relevant institutional information in an organized environment;
- Ensure simple navigation on desktop and mobile;
- Create a solution prepared for updates and future evolution.
JAVALI responded with a solution based on Drupal, taking advantage of the platform's flexibility to design a clear information architecture, an intuitive browsing experience and a backoffice tailored to the needs of the editorial team.
The solution, available in Portuguese, with responsive design, compatibility with the main browsers and accessibility and digital inclusion concerns, was designed to simplify content consultation and, at the same time, make it easier for the Conservatoire team to update the platform.
The result is a digital platform that is more in line with the Conservatoire's identity and activity, with clear gains in terms of information organization, browsing experience and editorial autonomy.
The main qualitative results include:
- A clearer and more consistent digital presence;
- Simpler access to the training offer and institutional content;
- Better structure for publicizing activities and news;
- Optimized experience for use on different devices;
- Greater attention to accessibility and digital inclusion;
- Robust technological base prepared for future developments.

Contribution to the Drupal community
Although this project has not so far involved the creation of its own open source modules, it reinforces the application of good Drupal development practices in a cultural and educational context, particularly in terms of editorial structuring, management autonomy and the creation of sustainable, easy-to-evolve platforms.
For JAVALI, each Drupal project also represents an opportunity to consolidate applied knowledge and continue to promote the adoption of robust, accessible and long-lasting digital solutions in the open source ecosystem.
