SUMOL+COMPAL has just relaunched its new Intranet. JAVALI was responsible for developing the graphic concept, web design and implementation. The business group's new Intranet is available in Portugal, Angola and Mozambique.
According to José Paulo Machado, Advisor to SUMOL+COMPAL's Board of Directors, "The original brief for SUMOL+COMPAL's new intranet was based on three key words: functional, practical and appealing. And it was based on these that, in close partnership with Javali, we designed, implemented and disseminated our new institutional intranet, for the first time encompassing all of our People in Portugal, Angola and Mozambique. From the first contact, we felt that professionalism and the satisfaction of SUMOL+COMPAL were Javali's main concerns. For us, it was a long, different, challenging and also fun project, which has been accomplished.
This new intranet symbolizes the union between Our People in various geographies and will help to disseminate information with a simple click.
To SUMOL+COMPAL's Communication and Information Systems teams and to Javali's project team, I send my congratulations and many thanks."
In this way, and in order to meet all the requirements and objectives, the entire strategy and design was designed so that the information provided was focused on the global interests of employees, was more attractive, functional and provided a user experience that made it easier to read and navigate, regardless of the type of equipment used (PC, tablets and smartphones).
SUMOL+COMPAL's new Intranet thus includes new functions, not only for corporate and departmental management information and other functions of interest to employees, but also for collaborative use, providing discussion/interest forums, surveys, competitions, event calendars, etc. In addition to the development common to a corporate Intranet, there are integrations with authentication systems and other diverse systems.
For the creation of SUMOL+COMPAL's internal collaboration platform, JAVALI used the Drupal content manager, the CMS(Content Management System) which, overall, best met the requirements and is a completely free platform with no licensing costs.
With this Drupal content manager, it was possible to give the communications team that coordinates the SUMOL+COMPAL Intranet complete autonomy to edit and create content.
