PYCC launches a new version of its online catalog, by JAVALI!

PYCC, Portuguese Yeast Culture Collection, is a collection of Portuguese yeast cultures, which aims to support Research & Development activities in Portugal and is based at FCT, NOVA School of Science and Technology.

Always focused on its mission to maintain a service of excellence based on professionalism, proximity, technical-scientific rigor and rapid response, and following its goal of ensuring the sustainability of the collection and improving the user experience, PYCC is launching a new version of its online catalog at: https://pycc.pt/.

It was with great pleasure that JAVALI took part in this project, using Drupal in its latest version, version 10, to develop a platform with a design that reflects the identity of this Collection, based on a database that allows online searches and the selection of cultures that interested parties wish to purchase, through an order that is then validated by PYCC.

The entire information structure is presented in an organized and intuitive way, facilitating and helping to improve the user's browsing experience. Common features in all JAVALI projects include best practices in search engine optimization (SEO), accessibility for people with visual impairments and a design that adapts (responsive) to different devices (desktop, tablet and smartphones).

In a statement, the PYCC coordinator said: "PYCC found in JAVALI the ideal partner for the development of its project to create its online catalog of microorganisms. The project involved migrating the data from the old site and designing and implementing a new platform with added functionalities. JAVALI carried out this mission with extreme professionalism, high technical competence and total openness to accommodate our requests."
