From Portugal to the world: Ilha de Moçambique's new website is now available!

After the first project in 2017, and its renewal in 2021, JAVALI has now been asked to develop Ilha de Moçambique's new platform on the latest version of Drupal, version 10.

One of the main improvements of the new site is the design, which has been carefully crafted to communicate the institution's identity in an appealing and effective way. With visually prominent areas for information and tourism, users can easily find relevant information about the city. From the history of the region to the municipal bodies, tourist indicators, entities involved in the project and news, all the information is now accessible in a quick, intuitive and always up-to-date way.

Thanks to the new platform, and with the aim of strengthening the relationship between local bodies and the user public, the promotion of news content is now also the responsibility of these same bodies, which are able to publish content on the island's website independently. For future visitors, there is also a new feature for booking in advance at the local accommodation available on the platform via a booking form with no additional payment or cancellation costs.

The new website thus reinforces its role as one of the main channels of communication with citizens and future visitors to the city.

In a statement, the Municipal Council of the City of Ilha de Moçambique said: "The Municipality of Ilha de Moçambique hereby expresses its gratitude for JAVALI's tireless dedication, their commitment is the main ingredient that makes our team succeed."

Accessibility, search engine optimization (SEO) and a responsive design are common features of all JAVALI projects and have been ensured in this new website. This means that the site will be accessible to people with visual impairments and will adapt perfectly to different devices, such as desktops, tablets and smartphones.
