Banco de Portugal launches new institutional portal in Drupal

The project was launched in the last quarter of 2016, as part of the institution's 170th anniversary celebrations.

The complete overhaul of the banking sector regulator's institutional website included a total redefinition of the information architecture, the renewal of the graphic image, the provision of new types of content and the replacement of the supporting technological platform.

This project followed the latest trends in digital communication, namely the creation of content compatible with other devices, the provision of new types of content, such as infographics and videos, the possibility of sharing on social networks, as well as the elimination of redundancies with other Banco de Portugal digital channels.

For the development of Banco de Portugal's new institutional website, the Open Source Web Content Management (CMS) platform, Drupal, was used.
