APDPO Portugal launches new Drupal website

JAVALI is part of the network of partners of APDPO PORTUGAL, the Association of Data Protection Professionals, including DPOs - Data Protection Officers, thus attaching the utmost importance to this opportunity. Data security and protection are ongoing priorities in all the projects developed by JAVALI, which reflect its commitment to contributing to the association's mission.

One of the milestones of this partnership was the challenge proposed by APDPO for the development of its new public access website exclusively for its members, available at https://dpo-portugal.pt. JAVALI used the latest version of the Drupal platform, version 10, and came up with an appealing, user-friendly design that reflected APDPO's identity. The website is based on an organized and intuitive information structure, facilitating and contributing to a better browsing experience for users.

For the general public, information is provided on the activities planned by APDPO, categorized by relevant topic and presented through an interactive calendar, making it easy to sign up for activities. In addition, the website offers access to the most relevant news, such as DPO Magazine, training offers and other relevant resources for professionals in the sector.

For members, it is worth highlighting the development of a reserved area with access to support documentation, case law, event recordings, resources from the ethics, training, legal and technology committees, as well as the possibility of adhering to APDPO codes and consulting job opportunities.

Common features of all JAVALI projects include best practices in search engine optimization (SEO), accessibility for people with visual impairments and a responsive design that adapts to different devices(desktop, tablet and smartphones).

They understood the line of continuity we wanted to take, but managed to innovate. He analyzed the issue of security, which is so important to us, and took care of all the legal requirements. He got to know our structure, dynamics and activities and mirrored them in the portal. And after so many meetings, tests and conversations, the new APDPO website was born, modern, simple and easy and intuitive to use.
