AGENEAL relied on JAVALI's know-how to use best practices and methodologies in the creation and design of its new website. The briefing given to AGENEAL was of great importance in defining the layout and programming of the site, so that in the end the objectives required by AGENEAL were achieved: a new positioning for the Agency, but also a new site that was visually more modern and intuitive.
The new site was developed taking into account the mobile first concept with the aim of providing the best user experience, putting them in direct contact with the various areas of activity, actions, projects, members and latest highlights.

For the development and implementation of AGENEAL's new website, JAVALI used Drupal, the open source web content manager (CMS). The backoffice was tailored to AGENEAL's needs so that AGENEAL would be fully autonomous in the creation and editing of content. Web accessibility was also one of the concerns to be taken into account in the development of this project, thus reaching the highest level according to the accessibility guidelines (AAA level) for web content (WCAG), version 2.0, of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
The Almada Municipal Energy Agency, AGENEAL, is a local energy agency created in March 1999 on the initiative of the Almada City Council to respond to the concerns of its community and associates about energy and environmental efficiency.
