JAVALI recognized as NEW SPIN-OFF

JAVALI was recognized with the NOVA SPIN-OFF status, approved by NOVA's Value Creation Council, during the awarding of the NOVA SPIN-OFF recognition certificates at NOVA Entrepreneurship Day 2019.

The NOVA SPIN-OFF seal aims to recognize companies created within the NOVA University of Lisbon's innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, with the aim of formalizing collaboration between NOVA and the NOVA SPIN-OFFS.

JAVALI is a software development company founded in 2002 by former NOVA FCT students with the aim of supporting the adoption of free software in Portuguese organizations, specifically with the Drupal CMS web content manager.

NOVA University Lisbon's mission is to serve society by advancing and disseminating knowledge through excellent research aimed at solving the problems that affect society. It is also responsible for promoting the dissemination of research results and the social and economic valorization of knowledge, namely technology transfer, as well as supporting innovation and entrepreneurship and establishing partnerships with public and private entities, namely business, non-governmental and associative entities.

In this sense, it is essential to ensure, on the one hand, the creation of favorable conditions for the emergence of SPIN-OFFS companies based on technologies and knowledge generated at NOVA University Lisbon, and, on the other hand, to establish an innovation ecosystem that allows for the exchange of experiences and the enhancement of interaction with the University.
