JAVALI, the only Portuguese company shortlisted for the International Splash Awards 2019

The Ministry of National Defense's project with the Military Recruitment Portal, developed by JAVALI in Drupal 8, is the only Portuguese project to compete in the International Splash Awards 2019, and is also one of the finalists nominated for the "Government and Public Services" category.

The Splash Awards celebrate the best Drupal projects and began as a regional event. In 2018 it became International in Europe and later in the USA, allowing the best Drupal projects to compete on a global scale, organized by volunteers from the Drupal community from more than 10 countries.

This year, the International Splash Awards will take place during DrupalCon, at the Zuiderkerk, a 17th century Protestant Southern Church in Amsterdam, on October 28th, 2019, where more than 70 projects are competing in the categories of Commerce, Corporate, Design/UX, Non- profit, Education, Government and Public Services, Publishing / Media, Social/Community, Tools/Apps and Healthcare.

The criteria used by the jury to evaluate the projects are based on themes such as: well-defined concept and strategy and objectives achieved or exceeded, community value (modules published on Drupal.org), design/UX (appealing design and user experience), quality and execution (SEO, accessibility, performance), the extent to which it was innovative and the technology used (innovative way of implementing Drupal and its integration with other systems).
