ESOP Technology Program bets on crowdsourcing model

Information Technologies can play a decisive role in creating a sustainable growth and development model for Portugal. It is in this context that ESOP is today publicly launching Portugal Open Source 2020 (POS 2020) on a Crowdsourcing platform to which it invites everyone to participate!

ESOP - the Association of Portuguese Open Source Software Companies - advocates an intelligent development model and believes that the technological skills of national companies and resources, which have distinguished themselves on numerous occasions, can make a decisive contribution to the country's modernization, competitiveness and sustainable development. The use of technology to benefit the country has enormous untapped potential.

That's why ESOP is today launching the Portugal Open Source 2020 program through a crowdsourcing platform available and open for participation until March 31st.

POS 2020 consists of collecting ideas and drawing up a strategic plan for the use of open technologies and standards as a driver for growth and development in the Portuguese economy and society during the period 2015-2020.
